Harbormaster Matt Specht is an industry professional who brings nearly 25 years of marine experience to his work at PHYC. He started out as a humble boat washer and detailer, quickly working his way up to supervisor and then manager.

 

He signed on with Prairie Harbor as Assistant Harbormaster in 2008, and was promoted to Harbormaster in 2014, where his leadership and work ethic have helped bring PHYC to where it is today. He has helped guide PHYC through the first phases of the Dock Project —personally saving the Association over $180,000 through his resourcefulness and tenacity — and has contributed heavily to the new pump out system, annual dredging, brick patio installations, and countless other beautification and infrastructure projects. He is thrilled to be a part of the best marina on the Great Lakes!
